Maki: "And my parents were invited because they own the theatre, so of COURSE they made me come. Because seeing a rich guy marry an actress will somehow give me "Culture". You know what PARENTS are like..." Tamilda: "Heh... sure." (She doesn't. Not really.)
Maki: "I haven't seen you around. Did your parents drag you along 'cause they know the groom?" Tamilda: "Actually, I'm here with Granny Dis--er, my granny. .. My parents are dead... I live on my own."
Maki: "What?? THAT'S SO COOL!"
Maki: "I, uh, meant the living on your own thing. Not the dead parents thing." Tamilda: "Yeah."
Maki: "I mean, sometimes I wish MY parents were dead. .. but, like, not REALLY. Y'know?"
Maki: "Hey, let's stop saying embarrassing things and go sneak some drinks from the bar!" |
